Our 100th Post!! Thank You!!
After 10 short weeks of blogging and thousands of visits to our site we have reached our 100th post! Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed reading Twenty Something Sense and it is our hope that you’ve taken away some basic, but valuable information from the blog. Here are a few items about the blog we thought we’d share with you as a special 100th post.
What do we write about?
There is a great tool on the net that allows you to create these colorful images called wordles that highlight the most commonly used words in a body of text. We fed the wordle our first 99 posts and here is what we got.
Who reads this blog?
While the blog is most popular in Chicago (we both live in Chicago), we have had visitors from over 35 countries on 6 continents (we’re not sure if we’ll ever attract a strong following in Antartica). It is interesting to see first hand how far the Internet reaches.
Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the good ol‘ USA.
In the States the blog has proven most popular in our current home state of Illinois as well as our former home states of Ohio and Virginia. There are 9 states that we’ve yet to attract a visitor from (if you’re traveling there please visit us!).
Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, and W. Virginia.
What’s next for the blog?
We’ve had a lot of fun writing and sharing some basic information that we find invaluable to helping you get through your younger years. The discussions the posts have sparked, both in the comments of the blog and outside of the blog, have helped us learn a lot from all of you as well. Going forward it is our goal to get more people involved in these discussions and to try to create a real community of followers. Our readership has been growing since day 1, but in order to keep it going we need your help sharing the blog with more people like yourself.
