What do I read…
The most interesting, intelligent, and successful people I have met are all avid readers. I’m a big believer in the benefits of reading and I try to set aside at least thirty minutes every day for it. I currently read these publications and an additional book or so a month.
Daily - Wall Street Journal
Weekly - Economist, Business Week
Monthly - Harvard Business Review
What do you read? Do you read daily? Do you watch tv daily? Could you cut out one show and read more? Reading is not only fun and relaxing, but it is an investment in your future. I suggest you make it part of your routine.
HELP - Can someone please suggest a good book or magazine that is thought provoking but has absolutely nothing to do with finance, business, or technology? I’m desperately needing some variety in my life. Thanks!!

Check out ‘Atlas Shrugged’ by Ayn Rand. She created an entire new area of philosophical thought with this book.
Interestingly enough, I recently recommended “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand to Will. I just finished the audiobook(I’m a slow reader, plus I can listen on my commute) and we just downloaded “Atlas Shrugged”. “The Fountainhead”, though written around 1940, fits perfectly with our current economic/political debacle and is very thought provoking. I can only hope “Atlas” brings more of the same to the table.
ok, our boys zack & papy have hit the nail on the head. ayn rand (born in 1905), a vocal polarizer whose effectiveness leaves ms. hillary green with envy, was an amazing provoker of thought and a philo-political icon. her literary claim to fame, 'atlas shrugged,' is so incredibly relevant to RIGHT NOW that you'd be shocked to discover it was written several decades ago.
when you're done, and have sufficiently recovered from its implications, read her other uber-famous work, 'fountainhead.' in a word… wow.
good to hear others are just as dumbfounded (and disturbed) by the severity of these implications.
both books are making their way onto my ipod. thanks for the recommendations!
